Vladimir Pryakhin

Vladimir (Vlad) Pryakhin is a Russian poet and publisher. Born in 1957 near Moscow, he has lived in Russia and in the Baltic states. In the 1980s, he was an activist in the democratic movement in Russia and published The Idealist, an underground literary journal. He is the author of ten books of poetry and a participant in the Moscow and St. Petersburg Free Verse Festivals; his poems have been published in literary magazines in Russia, Europe, the USA, and Canada. He is the editor of an international literary almanac The Environment and the moderator of a poetry portal and video channel SredAinfo.
