Biography
Irina Kotova is a poet, prose writer and essayist. She was born in Voronezh and graduated from Voronezh State Medical University and the Literature Institute; she holds a Doctorate in Medical Sciences and lives in Moscow.
Irina's poems have been published in journals Vestnik Evropy, Vozdukh, Volga, Druzhba Narodov, Zerkalo, Interpoeziya, Novoe Literaturnoe Obozrenie, Novy Mir, Novy Bereg, Tsirk «Olimp»+TV, Articulation, Лиterraтура, TextObly, Slavica Tergestina (Italy) and a number of others, as well as in anthologies and collections. She has published three poetry books.
Kotova's poetry have been translated into Italian, Romanian, English, Greek and Portuguese. She participated in poetry festivals in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Cheboksary, Tver, Chelyabinsk), Estonia, Italy and San Marino.
She is a laureate of the Bulgakov Literary Competition (2009) and of the Lesser Prize Moskovsky Schet 2019).
